Psychological Therapy and Counselling

Therapy

What is therapy?

Many of us will suffer from difficulties during our lifetime that will affect our mental health. Therapy is the process of talking with a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to help you understand the challenges you are experiencing. This process supports you to develop insight (and in some cases strategies) to address a particular problem that is causing you distress. Therapy can also reduce particular symptoms you may be experiencing which can improve your emotional regulation and quality of life.
